We decided not to do a family reunion at my house on Friday July 25th. Instead we are going out to eat at Pete's Fish and Chips by the Temple. Its my dad's favorite place to eat so its been a tradition for us to go there every time he comes to AZ. So anyone could still come to eat with us at Pete's and of course we'd love to see you at Kayla's baptism!
On Saturday we just bought a 2005 Kia Sedona. Even though its just a mini-van, we are so excited! We've been driving a 1993 Blazer for 6 years that has given us so many problems. For most of this summer the a/c hasn't been working so we are so grateful that we don't have to suffer any more in the car! *This is just a pic of our van I found on the net.
Attention everyone! Kayla is getting baptized on Saturday July 26th at 3:00pm. It will be at the Gilbert Ranch Stake Center on the corner of Lindsey Rd and Frye Rd, south of Williams Field Rd. My dad, Randee, Sharlee, Jana, Emilee and Nathen will be there too. I know some of you haven't seen them in a long time so this would be a good opportunity to see them. After the baptism we will go back to our house for food, so you are welcome to come to that too.
*For the Robles family only*we will be having a reunion and BBQ at my house the day before Friday, July 25th. Please come! Call me or email me if you need my address or directions. Hope to see you there! email: lisarich75@hotmail.com
I need help! I tried to change my background and somehow I screwed it up, thats why I have a generic template. Can someone tell me how to change it to layout? I was trying to use a background from thecutestblog site but it didn't work right. Then I changed it back to my original layout and it didn't work at all! I don't know what to do. Help!
Just thought I'd share my 3 favorite performers of the AI concert I went to last Tues. I didn't take any of these videos, mine turned out horrible. Hope you enjoy them, just ignore the screams especially for David Archuleta!
This is Michael Johns singing Its All Wrong, But Its Alright. I was swooning...
David Archuleta singing Stand By Me. What an amazing voice! Love the little dance he does, you can see his face close up at the end.
David Cook singing his new single Time of My Life. He's such a great performer, interacts with the audience so well.
Tuesday, July 1st I went to the American Idol concert in Glendale at the Jobing Arena. I'm a little obsessed with the show, especially with this season because of one guy who finished 8th, but I'll get to that later. I decided to get there early about 10:30 am to try and meet the Idols. I went alone so I was nervous about that but I ended up meeting some really nice people to hang out with. We waited in the back of the arena where the buses park. At the Jobing arena, the parking is underground but you can look down, it kinda looks like a loading dock. There was some shade where we were but it was so HOT! I know I'm crazy! But hey you only live once right? Then after a couple of hours, the buses finally show up! We were all so excited! They all walked off the buses one by one and waved to us. Then a few mins later, Kristy one the contestants comes up to meet us. She was really nice and handed out little gift cards to some online Christian site, we were hoping for meet and greet passes but oh well, its the thought that counts. She posed for some pics and signed autographs. Then after waiting a little more I left with 2 girls to go eat lunch. When we got back, I found out that my favorite guy came out to the bus while we were gone. I was sad that I missed him! Anyways, more people show up and we all are still hoping that some more of the Idols would come up to meet us but it didn't happen. They had things going on so I guess they were just too busy to come out. Oh well, its ok I guess. So finally the doors open and we get to cool off and eat something before the concert starts in this nice private room. A girl I just barely met gives me her extra ticket to this Toyota club thing where you get special treatment. And she gives me her extra seat ticket that she couldn't sell. The seat is row 22 which was a lot closer than the one I bought. Now I was even more excited to watch the show! The concert starts with Chikezie who finished 10th and then goes to the person who won, David Cook. Everyone except the top 3, sang 3 songs. The others sang 4 and 5 songs. There was 6 of them who sang a group song, U2's In The Name of Love and then at the end they all came out and sang Rihanna's Please Don't Stop the Music. My favorite, Michael Johns, was Amazing!! David A and David C were awesome too!! AZ's home town girl Brooke was really good and she got a standing ovation. Everyone else was good in their own way. The concert was a lot of fun. Oh yeah, after intermission, a girl I met told me there was a empty seat next to her in second row so she said I could sit there for the second half of the show! I was so excited to be so close! After the concert we went back to the bus parking lot and watched the Idols come out to the buses. They tried talking and interacting with the fans as best as they could. Some people dropped their signs and notes to them. I dropped Michael a note, it asked him if he would do this funny dance that he calls his "sexy dance", and he did it! He looked up I think to see who gave the note to him and I screamed which I think I was the loudest, so I think he saw me! They almost came up to meet us but I could see that they're were too many of us and I think securtiy was concerned for their safety. So I watched their buses leave... I'd like to go again to get a second chance at meeting them. Oh well, I had a fun night anyways. Some of the pics in the slideshow are not mine, I got them from other people. Mine are the ones from the right side of the stage far away and close up.
